Calling all Bard fans.... get ready for Book four!

Hi all,

I'm happy to report that I am hard at work on the fourth (and likely final!) installment of the Bard Academy series. It's Miranda's senior year and she's about to graduate. But leaving Bard means leaving Heathcliff, possibly forever. Will Miranda find a way to keep Heathcliff in this world? Or will the sudden appearance of his old flame, Catherine, change everything?

I'm calling it "A Tale of Two Proms" and I will be resolving some tricky questions (Do Miranda and Heathcliff finally get together? Does Heathcliff get transported back to Wuthering Heights? Does he love Miranda... or Catherine? Oh, yes. I'm going there!)

I'm hoping to have the book done this year, and out before the end of the year, but we'll see how that all goes. Right now, I need your help. If you'd like to see (and read) A Tale of Two Proms, follow me on Twitter (www.twitter.com/caralockwood or here at this blog) to get the latest news on just when (and how!) you can get your hands on a copy.

Also, I'm doing something a little different with Bard 4 - I'm taking input from the fans! What is it that you're dying to see happen in (the most likely last) Bard Academy book? Want to see Heathcliff and Miranda together? Or Ryan and Miranda? Want to see Parker get what's coming to her? Or should Lindsay be class president? Tell me now. Some of your ideas might just end up in the book.

Post comments here, on Twitter or email directly at cara@caralockwood.com. Can't wait to hear your ideas!

Stay tuned for more...

En Fuego winners!

Hi all,

Thanks for all the great posts about the Hunger Games! And congrats to contest winners Carol from Pennsylvania and Kelly from Missouri. Keep checking back here or follow me on Twitter for more contests. I may run another Girl On Fire contest soon!

And remember, for those of you who didn't win, the good news is that the book is now available to buy. I really do love this essay book. For more info on how you can get your copy, check out Smart Pop books at http://www.smartpopbooks.com/book/the-girl-who-was-on-fire.

And if you're really hoping to win a book, I'm still giving away signed copies of Dixieland Sushi for anyone who helps out the earthquake survivors of Japan with a donation to the Red Cross (no amount is too small). I'm giving away 20 signed copies, so odds are good for winning! Just email me your receipt at cara@caralockwood.com and you're entered to win.

I am a serious Hunger Games addict. Can't wait for the movie. Did you hear the news that Katniss, Gale and Peeta have already been cast? Check it out:

Tell me what you think. On looks alone, I might have to change my Team Peeta to Team Gale! (Not really, of course). I seriously can't wait for this movie. What do you guys think?
