Calling all Bard fans.... get ready for Book four!

Hi all,

I'm happy to report that I am hard at work on the fourth (and likely final!) installment of the Bard Academy series. It's Miranda's senior year and she's about to graduate. But leaving Bard means leaving Heathcliff, possibly forever. Will Miranda find a way to keep Heathcliff in this world? Or will the sudden appearance of his old flame, Catherine, change everything?

I'm calling it "A Tale of Two Proms" and I will be resolving some tricky questions (Do Miranda and Heathcliff finally get together? Does Heathcliff get transported back to Wuthering Heights? Does he love Miranda... or Catherine? Oh, yes. I'm going there!)

I'm hoping to have the book done this year, and out before the end of the year, but we'll see how that all goes. Right now, I need your help. If you'd like to see (and read) A Tale of Two Proms, follow me on Twitter (www.twitter.com/caralockwood or here at this blog) to get the latest news on just when (and how!) you can get your hands on a copy.

Also, I'm doing something a little different with Bard 4 - I'm taking input from the fans! What is it that you're dying to see happen in (the most likely last) Bard Academy book? Want to see Heathcliff and Miranda together? Or Ryan and Miranda? Want to see Parker get what's coming to her? Or should Lindsay be class president? Tell me now. Some of your ideas might just end up in the book.

Post comments here, on Twitter or email directly at cara@caralockwood.com. Can't wait to hear your ideas!

Stay tuned for more...

Can't get to get my paws on this book.

Storywise, Parker needs to get what's coming to her and Miranda and Heathcliff need to be together forever :D

Very exciting! This does mean I have to get my read on and catch up on the series. I've only read the first one mostly because I was working more on the romance backlist moreso than the Bard Academy backlist, but I do own them all. Can't wait for the 4th to complete the collection. I'll have to follow on Twitter (if I don't already do so) when I get home from work.

SO EXCITED! I'm thrilled there is finally another one coming out, gosh, this made my day! And definitely Heathcliff and Miranda together. Ryan is nice, but there's an amazing chemistry between H&M. :D

It sucks to say, but It has honestly been so long since I read these books (I was 1/4 way through Moby Clique before I even bought the book! I went in bookstore to buy it with a friend who decided that she was going to take forever so I just started reading... and it has literally JUST been released...) so I don't remember much -note to self: read Bard Academy books again- but from what I do remember...
Miranda and Heathcliff.
Parker should go away forever.
The teachers... are teachers... I actually feel kinda bad for them.

God, I can't wait. I really love these books they bring out the lit geek in me. I remember reading Wurthering Heights for the first time in Brit Lit II and kept thinking of these books. I really prefer your version of Heathcliff, btw (he's pre puppy killing Heathcliff I'm assuming). Oh, yes and I'd definitely like to see Miranda and Heathcliff get together it will be interesting to see how that's done. And I'd like her to kick the book Catherine's butt, I remember when I read Bronte's book I found Catherine so insufferable. Choosing Linton over Heathcliff, please.

If it's the last Bard book I'd like a nice fire to destroy the Vault and the books and set the teachers free once and for all; something magic to occur and keep Heathcliff in the real world without damaging the novel as we know it maybe something like the ending of Tale of Two Cities? A twin appears at Bard, even though Heathcliff is way older than a high school student should be; Parker being her snooty self and maybe experiencing a reckoning (ghost of dead friend Rebecca to freak her out?); Samir to get together with Blade and take her home (bet his parents would LOVE her); Hanna to get someone special, maybe Ryan--if Miranda ends up with Heathcliff I can't imagine she'd be too bitter.

OMG! This is awesome news! It's been years, but I still love and own the first three. I'm glad it gets to have a conclusion; the last book was like 4 years ago! Literary cannot wait!!!

i'd dieee of hapiness if miranda ende up with ryan! I've been waiting for this novel for so long now! I think it'd be just too unreasonable if a fiction character date a real life person. I'm on team ryan :)

I always knew Heathcliff could do better than Catherine, he needs to get with Miranda! And I agree with hotwill07 I'd like to see the teachers freed somehow. but without their books being destroyed =/

Oh and Hanna & Samir should get together

Yaay!! I can't wait for this book!!

I want Heathcliff to stay with Miranda forever and Parker to get some payback!! Hana should get a boyfriend and Blade and Samir should get together!! And Ryan should get to see Rebecca again... Coach H should move on too...

I'm too into this series!!!!
