Welcome!

Hi guys. Welcome to my blog. I'll try to keep it updated, but I should warn you that I'm a notorious diary slacker. From age eight to 18, I bought somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 diaries, and never managed to fill any more than about ten pages for any of them. My problem was, I'd write regularly for about three days, then I'd forget (because Dallas was on or something more exciting) and when I got around to reading my previous entries about two months later, I'd think: who is this self-obsessed loser? And why can't she spell?

So, I'm a slacker-perfectionist. There are worse things. It means you never actually do any work, but once you do, you're highly critical of it. I'm more of a type AB personality. I have the Type A desire to work hard, but the mellowness of a Type B, so I never follow-through.

Anyhow, drop me a line! I'm open for almost any discussion. Possible "talk amongst yourselves topics": Your Favorite '80s Moment and/or why you love my books (okay, that sounds a bit self-serving - how about why you think I'm the best author to ever live?).

So I read I do, but I don't
thinking this is the funniest, most brilliant book I have read
in a while, I tell my coworkers
they must read it and I wish
it was a movie, well as YOU know
it is. so I am "lucky" enough
to catch it on lifetime and they
UHGHH did not come close to the
smartness, the uniquness of the characters... the only cure
was to rush to Barnes and Nobel
to buy the rest of your books so I could get that movie out of mind
I mean Dean Cain is hot but
did the people who made this movie
actually read your book !!!!

somewhere in the above statement
you really will find a compliment

Hi there. I'm really glad you liked the book. I didn't have any say with the movie, or with the script. In fact, the first time I saw the movie was when it premiered on TV. But, I think it's always a challenge to make a book into a movie. With books, everyone imagines different characters and often actors don't line up with your imagination. That being said, I've gotten a glimpse into how difficult it is to make a movie. Trust me, I'll stick to writing books!

Hi! Haven't read your work, but I plan to now! Heard of your blog through one of my online book groups, and had to come check it out.

I'm also one who buys journals out the wahoo and rarely fills them up. It takes at least 3 years for me to fill one, so I should be set for, roughly, the next 85 years. :o)

Hi Andi! Welcome to my blog.

Sounds like you and I are in a race to see who can make a journal last longer. I guess we're saving paper, and that's a good thing, right?

I hope you like my books. Thanks for posting a comment.

Cara, the new site rocks. You asked about fave 80s moments. Do you remember the insane amount of hype generated over the premiere of "Thriller" on Friday Night Videos? Excited doesn't begin to explain how I was feeling. I was beside myself when the couple I was babysitting for came home in the middle of it. I made the dad sit and watch the rest with me before I'd let him drive me home. Any MJ memories to share (pre-child abuse accusations, please)?

I LOVE your books - every single one I buy I usually finish within two sittings. I think I love Dixieland Sushi the best (but I am a bit biased) - I am a first generation born American of Vietnamese descent born and raised in Missouri. SO I can totally relate to Jen. I now live in California - but I am still a diehard Country music fan! Hey if Lifetime (or any other people) approach you in making Dixieland Sushi a movie - I would love to be part of it! I can't wait until you next book!

This is a great book, at first when i start reading this book i thought this is the same old story like the "The Wedding Planner" movie the one by Jennifer Lo...

But when i read on, you will be actually amaze by how the writer makes the different, her way of writing it makes it that being Lauren Crandell is such a nice and it actually grab the heart if the reader, u will feel the same feel as the chacter does...
And the best part i like is how Lauren and Nick had this thing going! Try imagining Nick and Perfect Looking man as the Writer Ms.Cara Lockwood had describe.

And also one part i like about this book is that has a Happily Ever After ending... This is a Entertaining book! You will not regret reading this one!
Instead you will linger on this book longer... Hope Ms. Cara Lockwood do write more of this kind of romance novel!!! I can stop reading this book onces i get till the middle....
Thank You for bringing me back to books again!

That comment was written 2 years ago, believe it, now your book is still on Best Seller in Singapore!

Hi Adeline,
